David Neil Manuel

D. Neil Manuel of Marlton, NJ passed on December 5, 2020 after a brief illness. 
Born on January 17, 1932 and raised in Philadelphia, Neil was the son of the late Charles C. Manuel, Jr. and Mary E. Manuel (nee Smith). A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Rutgers School of Law, Camden, NJ (where he served as Class President), Neil practiced law in Burlington County, New Jersey. He served in the Marine Corps as a First Lieutenant on active duty in various stations in the US, Japan and Korea. 
While maintaining a private law practice in Mt. Holly, Neil was appointed County Solicitor as well as Solicitor for the Townships of Lumberton and Evesham. Subsequently, he was appointed a Municipal Court Judge for several years in the Townships of Moorestown, Evesham, Mt. Holly and Riverton. Later, he served as Associate Counsel for the Burlington County Board of Social Services. He was a proud member of the Mount Holly Elks, VFW, and the American Legion. Recently, he was a member of Medford Lakes Country Club and Medford Village Country Club. 
Neil is survived by his loving wife, Cathleen (nee Breen), his children, Debra Dougherty (Tom) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Clint (Nancy) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Robert Hoxit of Mt. Laurel and Sherri Bolognone (Michael) of Medford Lakes, as well as ten grandchildren, Justin Harris, Ryan Harris, Brittany Harris, Kyle Hoxit, Faith Manuel, Riley Hoxit, Cassidy Hoxit, Michael Bolognone, MaryTess Bolognone and three great grandchildren. 
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Charles and his son Brian Hoxit. 
Due to the current pandemic restrictions, the service will be private.
