At our regular August 2021 meeting, Medford VFW Post 7677 recognized the

contributions of a select group of Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets from Seneca

High School.  For the past three and a half years, Cadets Vince Abate,

Lorenzo DiVentura, Dominic Amilcare and Jimmy Capiris contributed countless

hours to assist the Post in the kitchen for dinners and fund raisers, yard

and building maintenance and local road cleanup efforts.  Their most

significant contributions, however, were the augmentation of our ceremonial

parties for parades, Memorial Day Weekend and Veterans Days celebrations.

They served as Color Bearers and members of our Firing Party, giving up

numerous holiday weekends in support of our patriotic activities.  All four

recently graduated from Seneca High School.  Vince, Dominic and Lorenzo will

shortly be off to college and Jimmy will pursue military service.  Their

dependability and cheerful service will not soon be forgotten.
