Frederick Hartman, Jr. of Burlington, formerly of Southampton, passed away peacefully on Jan 19th at 99.
Frederick was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frederick and Anna. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII, landing in Normandy in Northern France and Central Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge, receiving the Purple Heart Medal. Frederick was a toolmaker at several companies, eventually retiring from American Aerospace.
Frederick was a member of Covenant Lodge #161 F.&A.M. and VFW Post 7677 in Medford where he served as quartermaster.
Frederick enjoyed keeping busy during his retirement, whether it was reading, jigsaw puzzles, wood kits, word puzzles, going out to eat and especially family time.
Frederick is survived by his wife, Judith (nee Griffiths), children, Michael (Tamie) Hartman, Frederick (Carol) Hartman, Joan Horner, Robert (Eileen) Patto, grandchildren, Michael, Jr. Michael, Deborah, Suzette, Melinda, Earl, Amanda, Robert, John, many great-grandchildren, and JoAnn (Rick) Snow and her family.
Frederick’s interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be held privately.
